Linen has an open weave and a refined look that is perfect for cross stitch and embroidery. This deep gold linen is the equivalent of DMC embroidery floss color #3821. The linen is stiff to start, but will soften up as you work with it.
The fabric is 28 count. Linen is commonly stitched over 2 threads, which would give you 14 stitches per inch, the equivalent of 14-count Aida. You can also stitch over 1 thread for 28 stitches per inch.
